Air Cooled Condenser

In systems involving heat transfer, a condenser is a device or unit used to condense a substance from its gaseous to its liquid state, by cooling it. In so doing, the latent heat is given up by the substance and transferred to the surrounding environment. Condensers can be made according to numerous designs, and come in many sizes ranging from rather small (hand-held) to very large (industrial-scale units used in plant processes). For example, a refrigerator uses a condenser to get rid of heat extracted from the interior of the unit to the outside air. Condensers are used in air conditioning, industrial chemical processes such as distillation, steam power plants and other heat-exchange systems. Use of cooling water or surrounding air as the coolant is common in many condensers

Feature

• Condensers of ARTMAN Freon systems are designed to condense and cool different types of Freon refrigerants with the help of ambient air.
• ARTMAN-manufactured condensers draw air through the coil at high efficiency. Depending on requirements and upon customer order, rotation direction of fans of the condenser can be changed by adopting specific designs.

Fans

The fans used in ARTMAN condensers not only ensure fast cooling of the condenser, but also guarantee optimal heat transfer from the coil to the surrounding environment.

Casing

• Casing material is AlMg3 or galvanized steel, depending on model and dimensions.
• All products are powder-coated with MX375 providing high corrosion resistance, smooth surface and decorative appearance.
• Standard side coverings provide easy access to connections.

Sound data

• Indicated sound pressure levels comply with EN 13487.
• Sound levels are obtained from sound power levels (LwA) of the fans.
• Consult an expert for critical sound requirements.

Receiver Tank

• Receiver tank is designed and manufactured based on ASME Section VIII. These tanks are produced horizontally and installed on the presented devices in the catalogue on a standard basis.
• Depending on the customer’s order, vertical condensers can be adopted.
• It is possible to design customized special receivers for special condensers.

Coil

• Coils of ARTMAN condensers are designed and manufactured with a fin pitch of 25 mm.
• Fins of ARTMAN condensers are designed and manufactured with a standard fin spacing of 5-14 fins per inch.
• The fins are made from the best available aluminum material, and orders can be placed for golden and/or normal fins. In order to enhance useful life of the device, the condensers are designed and manufactured with gold-coated fins.
• Refrigerant feed collectors are designed and installed based on respective standards and in accordance with the direction of air flow.
• Circuit design and manufacturing are performed to achieve maximum efficiency.
• In all stages of production, minimum test pressure for each coil is set at 30 bar.

In all stages of production, minimum test pressure for each coil is set at 30 bar

FANS specification

• Highly efficient Ziehl Abegg and ARTMAN axial fans are used in 400, 450, 500, and 630 mm diameters.
• Motor protection IP44 and IP54; insulation classes B and F.
• Maximum working temperatures for mono-phase and tri-phase fans are +58℃ and +65℃, respectively.
• Special fans should be used under operating conditions above +65℃.
• Fans are arranged for standard draw through air configuration.
• 400/450 mm mono-phase fans, 230 V, 1~50 Hz.
• 400/450/500/560/710 mm fans, 400 V, 3~50Hz.
• Tri-phase fans can work at mono-speed or two-speed modes. Furthermore, EC fans provide command circuit with continuous fan speed control. This option can be installed on ARTMAN condensers upon customer’s order.
• Variable fan speed regulation can be achieved using tri-phase fans with frequency inverter and sine filter.
• Working at low ambient temperature and high air resistance, thermistors must be used for motor protection.
• Streamers providing extra air throw distance are optional.
• ARTMAN reserves the right to use fans of different manufacturers. Depending on the type, the fan data may slightly vary.
